Leaving Home

Linda, Tim, and the two cats, Snoopers & Muffin, plan to leave home in Big Red, the RV, about June 22. We'll return home sometime around Labor Day.

Our trip will take us to see cousins near Tallahassee, then tour various state parks and cities along eastern Alabama, next Chattanooga, TN for a couple of days, then off to Nashville and the Grand Ole Opry, Independence Day concerts & fireworks at the Riverfront Park and area attractions.

Next we'll head to north of Dayton, OH after July 4th for a long weekend of a Country Music series with 10,000 of our best friends. The concerts feature: Carrie Underwood, Lady Antebellum, Darius Rucker, Montgomery Gentry and about a dozen other artists.

After hearing about all the music we can stand for awhile, we're off to eastern Ohio to see Linda's sister and family. We'll spend about two weeks there and in the Amish/Holmes County area.

Mid-August will have us in the Cincinnati area for ten days. We'll be attending the W&S Tennis Open, which for the first year are hosting both the mens and womens tours. This tournament is the last event before the U.S. Open in New York City, so the players want to get good matches on the hard courts to prepare for the Open. We hope to take in a Reds baseball game, also.

After the tennis tournament, our plans are a little unclear. We'll make plans as we go along.

Watch for further posts with descriptions and pictures as we take our journey.
